Summary
Reporter Zhou Kun reported that Beijing Qingyuanbao Biotechnology Co., Ltd. will withdraw four products for lawn maintenance this year, including insecticidal and bactericidal drugs, all of which belong to "pure botanical pesticides".
These four products are respectively "health protection" water agent to eliminate lawn fungi, "matrine" water agent for ground and underground pests, "pyrethrin" water emulsion and "rotenone" water agent. With last year's products, the company currently has 5 products for lawn maintenance.
The reporter then opened one of the bottles. The smell was not as pungent as ordinary pesticides, but rather like compound licorice mixture. Zhang Fulong, deputy general manager of the company, told reporters that the raw materials of these products are extracted from traditional Chinese medicine plants, so they are very safe for the environment, humans and animals. The product has passed the organic certification of the State Environmental Protection Administration OFDC and is suitable for use in high-end lawns and golf courses.
It is understood that Beijing Qingyuan Insurance Company used to rely mainly on exports, but now with the increasing emphasis on environmental safety in China, they have set their sights on the domestic market. Zhang Fulong said that they would make some optimization in product sales in 2009.
